Scalable Analytics is an exciting start-up developing real-time financial analytics software. We are looking for a Java developer to join our team in rolling-out our first beta product, a real-time trading application. Interested candidates should posses a wide array of technical skills spanning application development, quantitative analysis and mathematical modeling, technical research and writing and most importantly a fierce passion for working on cutting-edge financial technologies.

Technical Experience Required:

• 6+ years Java experience with specific focus on real-time Swing GUI application development
• 6+ years experience developing on multiple operating systems including Linux, Windows and Mac
• Good working knowledge of C/C++ languages; experience in all kinds of coding styles including scripting, functional and object-oriented programming
• Web development using one or more of PHP, Perl, Ruby, Python and other technologies such as Javascript, DHTML, CSS, Ajax
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and project management principles such as using CVS and collaboration wiki's
• Good knowledge of financial markets, securities trading, market data protocols such as FIX/FAST and XBRL.
• Additional experience in any of the following areas is helpful: parallel programming, distributed systems, cluster/grid computing, networking programming
